Some of the assignments will be relatively small.  For example:

• Most days, students will take a multiple-choice online quiz on the reading prior to class.  This will be at the course Moodle site.  Students may retake this quiz as many times as they like before 8am on the day of class.  The grade will be based on their highest score.
• Before each Midterm exam, students will prepare and turn in two exam questions that they think fairly test what they ought to have learned by that point in the course.  These are due on the class day immediately prior to that exam.
