This proposal is a\u00a0well structured interactive experiment. It bases its\u00a0conclusion on reported behavior and emotions through surveys of a\u00a0more specific\u00a0sample group of students who go abroad. This sample is to be compared to the researchers own experiences and those of others in this project, then drawn to\u00a0conclusion\u00a0by such comparisons. The research\u00a0purpose\u00a0is in studying the experiences of\u00a0students\u00a0studying abroad, acquiring a cross-cultural\u00a0experiences, and reporting on how they\u00a0expand\u00a0their educational experience on an academic\u00a0and personal levels. The type of data are reports of behavior\u00a0through a series of collected survey\u00a0data. The surveys used\u00a0categorical and ordinal to create data based off the pre\u00a0researched\u00a0theories. The administering surveys, questionnaires, and interviews\u00a0are to be past out on\u00a0stages of pre-departure, arrival, mid-stay, prereturn, and post-experience. This data will then\u00a0chart the personal progress of the focus group in their unique relations\u00a0pre researched\u00a0stages.\u00a0Specific factors such as the\u00a0Pedersonian\u00a0Stages, and the\u00a0Schumann\u2019s Factors, are the basis of the interview questions given to the focus group.\u00a0These\u00a0factors\u00a0will be\u00a0monitored in the research to follow student progress and enable results to show patterns throughout the time abroad.\u00a0In addition to taking part in the surveys and questionnaires\u00a0the\u00a0focus group,\u00a0Kristen\u00a0Hunsberger\u00a0will\u00a0be maintaining a\u00a0personal\u00a0journal. The specific collection sample and site will be monitoring the progress of 10-20 students who are studying\u00a0abroad\u00a0in France, along with a personalized data collection of Kirsten herself.
